Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Image
Love this recipe and it was so easy to make. These are delicious! I used only 1-1/2 cups of chips because that’s all I had, but they were still delicious! These Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars were everything I hoped they would be. Chewy, chocolate-y oat goodness in every single bite! I used half semi-sweet chocolate chips and half milk chocolate–craaazzy I know– and they were SOO good. If you don’t already have a fancy treat planned for your special someone this weekend (like raspberry bread pudding or Oreo Cheesecake Bites), these Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars will surely be a huge hit! Ingredients 1 cup butter at room temperature 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups rolled oats 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or a little bit of both!) Raspberry Streusel Bars

Image
I made these yesterday and they’re already gone! Incredibly delicious! I love raspberries and I’ll make these more often for sure. So quick. So delicious. So perfect. Can’t wait to try them with different fruit variations. Made these raspberry bars for two women I tutor. Didn’t have a chance to refrigerate the bars but just drizzle the icing which did not turn white. The women ate three each and took the rest home. They said it was a keeper and they would be happy to be my ‘guinea pigs” which is a new term for them! I made a double batch of these in a 9 x 13 pan, and they were wonderful. My crust had a weird consistency, however, so I added more flour to the dough, which worked well. Not sure why, though a cup of butter seems like a lot for 2 cups of flour! I also had extra streusel (saved it for next time!) and didn’t have time to drizzle with the glaze. Definitely a keeper. Here are my simple raspberry streusel bars with four incredible layers: a buttery shortbread crust, thick raspb...

Nutella Stuffed Chocolate Cupcakes with Raspberry Frosting

Image
I’m making these for sure, they are absolutely beautiful! The frosting is amazing!!! Best buttercream ever! They turned out beautiful and tasted great. The cupcake is heaven with the Nutella. Super moist and almost spongy consistency everyone raved about how they weren’t dry and they didn’t crumble!!! Made these this afternoon. OMG divine. I did have to cook them about 8 minutes longer in my fan forced oven . I checked them every couple of minutes for the last 8 minutes. Followed the recipe exactly but I only had enough mixture for 12 which is just right. More than enough raspberry frosting which is yum yum. I will decorate with 2 or 3 raspberries if possible as I love the combination of the fresh fruit with the rich cake. Definitely will make again.  Supremely moist and decadent chocolate cupcakes stuffed with creamy Nutella and topped with fresh raspberry frosting. Cherry Pie Cookie Cups

Image
I love this recipe for the cookie cups! I made them this weekend and they turned out awesome!!! These cookie cups fantastic! The cookie dough and cherry pie filing sound wonderful together and perfect for Valentine’s Day.  These are so cute, and so amazingly delicious! I love fun holiday desserts. I have a family of 5 and I have to tell you this is brilliant. Everyone got individual little pies and there was no fighting 😀 I made 10 and no more ! fast simple and extremely tasty!!! LOVED this so much. I used cherry pink foil cupcake liners and used a full-sized cupcake pan. Since the amount of dough was bigger, I had to bake them longer and really keep an eye on it, but it worked out so well. Instead of using a powdered sugar drizzle, I melted white chocolate and drizzled that across. They look beautiful. I of course had to taste one. They are wonderful. This is such a brilliant idea! Seriousy fun! And perfect for Valentine’s  Get the full recipe and instructions here >> ...

Toffee Butter Icebox Cookies

Image
I’ve never tried a Heath-based dessert that wasn’t immediately addictive and irresistible. These are fantastic! Not to mention convenient. Those melty bits of toffee are the best! Slice and bake cookies are the BEST! I love toffee flavored anything, so these absolutely perfect! These are going to the top of my list for holiday baking! YUMM!! The creamy milk chocolate and rich toffee flavors go perfectly with these rich, buttery cookies. And I m loving that little crunch that the toffee provides. And here’s the best part…there is only SIX ingredients. Icebox cookies (aka slice and bake aka refrigerator cookies) are great to have on hand. You can make the dough ahead of time and then slice and bake the cookies as needed. Cause, you know, you don’t always need a couple dozen cookies at a time. Smart, right? You're just six ingredients away from these glorious, melt in your mouth, Toffee Butter Icebox Cookies! Deliciously buttery and perfectly rich, this easy cookie r...

Cranberry Orange Shortbread Cookies

Image
I used extremely cold butter (from the freezer) and used my food processor to cut it into the flour/sugar mixture. Once I added the rest of the ingredients, I also had a crumbly mess that didn’t seem to want to come together by hand. So I took the advice of other commenters and put the crumbs in my kitchen aid, then added just a little bit of the juice from the orange I had tested (maybe a tablespoon?). After about 3-5 minutes turning in the mixer, the dough finally started to come together enough that I was able to knead it into logs and wrap in cellophane. I have to say that I tasted a bit of the dough as I was working with it, and Oh…My…Goodness!!! The flavor is absolutely divine, and I can’t wait to bake them up tomorrow morning :) My cookies came out very yummy. I squeezed a little bit of orange juice into the batter, after I cut the butter in by hand and then I finished with a few turns in the Kitchen Aid. Perfect. A delightfully easy cookie recipe that yields sensati...

Cranberry Christmas Cake

Image
I made this cake, exactly as noted in the recipe, and then froze it. I brought it to work today and was worried it might be dry after being frozen. It was a hit! Everyone loved it. I think I might add a bit of lemon zest next time, but it was good as is. I baked mine for 45 minutes. This is festive, yummy, and will be a nice contrast to all the chocolate baked goodies I have. Very tasty with the cranberries. Pops in mouth. Absolutely delicious, pretty and easy to make. Three different people asked me for the recipe! It's a hit! This recipe is easy and delicious. Recommended!!! This is an absolutely perfect cake that takes very little effort to make. No icing, no topping, nothing else is necessary at all. It was reminiscent to me of a coffeecake in texture, but much lighter than the typical heavy version. Get the full recipe and instructions here >> Cranberry Christmas Cake @ barefeetinthekitchen.com

Caramel Apple Oat Bars

Image
I just made these and they taste wonderful! However, mine didn’t set up? But that’s not stopping me from eating them with a spoon! Not sure what happened. I am using my new convection oven, on auto conversation which automatically lowers the temp to 325. These bars are packed with a ton of oats and the fresh apples are really the star of the show. Combined with the sweet, buttery silkiness of the caramel – it’s a match made in heaven. These caramel apple oat bars just get better with time.  Excellent the first day they are pure heaven on day three.  Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the perfect treat! Caramel Apple Oat Bars are the perfect way to celebrate the season! Packed full of fresh apples, nuts and oozing with caramel, these bars are hard to resist!  Get the full recipe and instructions here >> Caramel Apple Oat Bars @ momontimeout.com

Vanilla and Chocolate Pizzelles

Image
In case you aren’t familiar with pizzelles they are a flat, round, Italian, waffle type cookie. While there’s not a drop of Italian blood in me for some reason my family has made making pizzelles every Christmas a tradition. I was fortunate enough to inherit my grandma’s pizzelle maker so now I can make these tasty cookies whenever I get a craving. Traditionally we have always made them using vanilla or almond extract, but you can use other flavorings such as anise, lemon, or orange. I loved this chocolate version and will definitely continue making it along with the vanilla. Aside from just eating the pizzelle cookies as is, you can also sandwich a couple of them together with nutella or even some ice cream. That was a dangerously delicious dessert! I hope you enjoy these Vanilla and Chocolate Pizzelles as much as I do and maybe they will become a holiday baking tradition in your family as well! Delicious flat, round, Italian, waffle like cookies. A delicious and eas...

No-Bake Cheesecake Parfaits

Image
These parfaits are right up my alley — I love the fresh fruit and creamy cheesecake filling, and graham cracker crumble makes everything better.  It was about 2 cups total of cheesecake when finished. My glasses are probably 6-oz. cups and I filled them pretty high so I only made 3 of them. It was rich, so I would suggest filling the cups a little less. You can easily double or triple the recipe to make more, too!  Graham cracker crumble, three-ingredient (under 5 minutes to make) cheesecake, and sliced strawberries & blueberries. You can whip these up fast for a family get together and stick them in the fridge for when you’re ready for dessert. It’s easily doubled, tripled, quadrupled for all your party guests. Best part? It tastes amazing! Ridiculously easy no-bake cheesecake layered with graham cracker crumbs, sliced strawberries & blueberries. These make the cutest and most delicious red, white & blue treats! Big and Chewy Oatmeal Cookies

Image
Made these last night and they are yummy! I really like the molasses addition! I decided to do normal size cookies and got about 20 out of the size I did. Great cookies and super yummy. I followed recipe. Great recipe!! They are wonderful! Been looking for a good recipe and I found it here, I’ve tried many different recipes but found they were just ho hum. Love that dried cherries are used instead of dried cranberries, I will make these over and over! These cookies are not for the faint-of-heart. Each ball of dough is 1/3 cup and the whole batch only makes 8 cookies. They are huge and remind me of those specialty cookies you buy at bakeries. That’s not a bad thing! They make the perfect gift because they are so big and look very impressive. Good thing is, they are super easy to make!  These cookies are easy, super thick, giant, and delicious!! You will love this cookie because it is so big, chewy, soft, and easy to make. A classic made bigger and better.  ...

Strawberry Dole Whip Recipe

Image
Just made it for breakfast instead of my usual banana soft serve. DEELICIOUS!  The colour is so vibrant. This recipe is AWESOME!!!! It is also very YUMMY! Easy recipe for Disney's popular frozen dessert. just 5 ingredients!! This recipe was very tasty! I halved it and used 1 cup of frozen strawberries, skim milk (I am not vegan), and 1 packet of Truvia as my sweetener. I really like this recipe and probably preferred it to the pineapple version, though that one was also good. My finished product was a lovely dark pink. Ingredients: 1 cup sliced frozen strawberries (120g) 1 cup frozen raspberries or more strawberries (120g) level 1/4 cup milk of choice or canned coconut milk (60g) pinch uncut stevia OR 1 1/2 tsp sugar or sweetener of choice 2 tsp lemon juice 1/16 tsp salt Get the full recipe and instructions here >> Strawberry Dole Whip Recipe @ chocolatecoveredkatie.com

Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake Dip

Image
This is a perfect party dip! My family loves chocolate and peanut butter! I just made this, put in choc chips and nuts, and forget about putting it on ice cream or apples, I’m eating it right out of the bowl . It’s a keeper. Easy to make, this cheesecake dip is loaded with great creamy flavors and pieces of peanut butter cups. This is by NO means a “skinny” dip.  There’s butter, cream cheese, peanut butter, brown sugar and of course, peanut butter cups… so definitely nothing low-fat or healthy in there lol.  But after you try a bite, you won’t care about the calories, you’ll just want more dip! I like this cheesecake dip with vanilla wafers or crisp green apple slices, but graham crackers would also be delicious. This cheesecake dip is super easy to make, and one the whole family will love!  Perfect for just about every occasion. Hot Cocoa Cheesecake Dip

Image
It was so easy to make and my fiancé and I absolutely loved this. The perfect dip for your cookies! It's filled with tiny marshmallows and hot cocoa flavor. It has the perfect mousse texture too! This recipe only uses 4 ingredients! That’s including the tiny marshmallows. It’s one of the quickest recipes to make and will definitely be a hit. My son asked if he could have a cookie and of course I gave him one. THEN asked for the “cookie dip.” This is when I knew that this dip was the bee’s knees. The world’s pickiest child requested it. That’s a sure sign that this recipe needs to be shared for all to enjoy. Ingredients 4 (.73 oz) envelopes hot cocoa mix without marshmallows 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, room temperature 4 oz. cool whip, thawed 2 -3 T. vanilla mallow bits  Get the full recipe and instructions here >> Hot Cocoa Cheesecake Dip @ chocolatechocolateandmore.com

Hooked on traditional holiday baking? These candy cane oreo truffles could be new Christmas tradition that you could start with your family. Peppermint Truffles

Image
How dangerously easy are THESE! A great addition to your holiday goodie trays! Peppermint Truffles. Amazingly creamy peppermint white chocolate ganache center coated with MORE chocolate and drizzled with extra white chocolate. I love how creamy these truffles look! Peppermint anything and everything this time of year is the way to go! Perfect These truffles are super easy to make.  They just take a little longer because they have to chill in between each step so they don’t melt.  I recommend starting them the day before so the ganache can chill overnight in the fridge.  Then the next day you can form the truffles and dip them in chocolate.  See, super easy.  No complicated procedures or temperatures of chocolate needing to be taken. Trust me, if you guys get hit with the peppermint craving these little bites will definitely hit the spot.  The inside of these is creamy, dreamy, peppermint.  It reminds me of the inside of a peppermint patty. ...

Eggnog Dessert Recipes: Delicious Eggnog Cookies

Image
I made these today and they are phenominal! I halved the recipe when trying a new one, but made an oops and added 1 c. of eggnog…to counter act that faux pas I added some flour to make a stiffer batter, but they are so good…extra “eggnoggy”. These eggnog cookies are so moist and absolutely delicious. One of my favorite holiday cookies!! These moist cookies are awesome for a cookie exchange or the Christmas cookie swap!  Ingredients 1 c. softened butter 1 c. sugar 1 c. eggnog 1 egg, beaten 3 and ¾ c. flour 1 t. baking powder 1 t. baking soda ½ t. salt ½ t. nutmeg Frosting: 1 and ½ c. powdered sugar ¼-1/2 c. eggnog (to spreading consistency 1 tsp. light Karo Syrup Get the full recipe and instructions here >> Eggnog Dessert Recipes: Delicious Eggnog Cookies @ couponcravings.com

Homemade Gumdrops

Image
I’ve made this recipe and these gumdrops are sooooo good (and perfect for kiddos)! My kids will absolutely love it. Just perfect for the season. This is such a great idea! I love it! Who knew these were so easy to make! These are amazing!! I have been making them for a few years now and everybody loves them!! I have made Cherry, Raspberry, Lime, Grape, and Orange. The grape went over the best and Raspberry was a close 2nd!! This recipe was so much fun!  I was so excited to make my own gumdrops and you definitely have to make two batches so you have a nice color contrast.  The best part is that they are SO easy!  It’s like making jello and then dipping them in sugar – so simple yet so delicious!  The best part of making the gumdrops is the leftover tidbits after cutting out the shapes.  I cut them down into small pieces, dredged in sugar and the boys and I have been enjoying the “scraps” and saving the pretties for gifts :) These Homemade Gumdrops ar...

No Churn Peppermint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Image
I made this and just took it out to do a ‘taste test’. Oh my goodness! I think I could sit and eat the whole thing! I know it looked good, but wow! I think I better make a second batch now ~ I wouldn’t want to be short on Christmas Day! Serving with flourless chocolate cake! Wow! I’m hooked! I LOVE chocolate and peppermint so this had my name written all over it lol I’ve never been a huge fan of hard frozen chocolate so I tweaked the recipe a bit – I took the cup of chocolate chips and melted it in the microwave, and when it was melted i stirred in two teaspoons of coconut oil. Then I alternated layers of the cream and drizzled chocolate giving it a bit of a swirl before freezing. Now the ice cream has a chocolate “crackle’ running through it that melts the second it hits the tongue No churn ice cream is so simple. We always start with heavy whipping cream and sweetened condensed milk. With just a few whips, this stuff is ready for mix-ins and then the freezer. Ice cream is...

Overnight Cinnamon Apple Baked French Toast Casserole

Image
This amazing. I love overnight French toast casseroles. So easy and so much better than standing over the stove and making French toast! The perfect addition to a fall weekend brunch! This casserole was a big hit! The cinnamon and apples are such a great flavor for breakfast. The apples soften while baking, but they aren’t soggy. The inside is soft and moist, the top is just crunchy enough. I can’t wait to make it again when the holidays roll around. The casserole should be baked for about 35-40 minutes. It’ll depend a bit on your preference – some people like a little moister center and some like it a little more cooked. One way to test the doneness is to stick a knife in the middle and see how much moisture comes out on it. This Overnight Cinnamon Apple Baked French Toast Casserole is going to be perfect for the holidays and would be great for any time you want a fun breakfast without a ton of work or prep! These are so gorgeous! Love the sprinkles on the side, too. They’re a perfect holiday treat! I’m so excited for all things Christmas and these are perfect! Melting Snowman Oreo Balls

Image
These are so cute! I would eat them all. Oreos are so hard to stop. The cute-factor here is OFF the charts! I love how easy they are too. So perfect for Holiday gift giving! These snowmen look awesome! Perfect for Christmas. Love them!!! Super cute and very easy to make! Great instructions-mine turned out amazing! I made these with the help of my 3 year old, she saw them when I pulled up the blog and luckily we had the ingredients on hand. I used white chocolate chips and they worked great and are inexpensive. Our only problem was the eyes and nose kept sliding down the face. I may use tinted frosting next time. We used melted milk chocolate chips for the mouth and that set up fine. They came out perfectly round. They were a huge hit by all: staff, kids and other parents. Although I had to buy different caps for all the frosting tubes and my recipe only made 30, I will make again over x-mas break, for just my family to enjoy!! Delicious!! These Melted Snowman Oreo Balls are festive and...

Peppermint Bark Cheesecake

Image
I made this peppermint bark cheesecake for my family Christmas dinner. It was amazing. Life changing, really. It may have even brought my mother-in-law and I closer. Which is saying a lot. If you love chocolate, peppermint and Oreo you’ll love this cake. It has three delicious layer-Oreo crust, creamy cheesecake filling loaded with peppermint bark pieces and white chocolate ganache on top garnished with crushed candy canes, whipped cream and dark chocolate. Frozen Chocolate Banana Bites

Image
These are so awesome! I did have a hard time with the chocolate after the first 5 or 6 bananas. It didn’t really help it to reheat. It helped to add more oil and reheat a little bit. Maybe next time I could try a double boiler? Either way they are SO delicious and I’m not super fond of bananas. Makes you feel better about eating something sweet lol  They’re simple to make and are only 25 calories a pop! I plan on keeping these in my freezer at all times for when those sugar rushes strike. These so delicious – they’d make the perfect treat on a hot day. Mint Chocolate Mini Cakes

Image
I LOVE this mint chocolate cake to tide me over until then. As someone who isn’t big on chocolate – if you toss mint into the mix? I’ll eat so much my stomach all but explodes. I’m so very impressed. Beautiful little cakes. It was amazing, the mint made it taste so good! Chocolate and mint is hands down one of the most legendary flavour combinations, so I can imagine how good these mini cakes would have tasted. Love how moist, fudgy and delicious they look – especially with all that chocolate and cream topping! I baked these cakes in a jumbo muffin tin.  They make the perfect sized dessert. These cakes are rich and dense with the perfect hint of mint. My favorite part of making them? Eating the hot cake tops left over from leveling the cakes just after they come out of the oven. Amazing is all I can say. Get the full recipe and instructions here >> Mint Chocolate Mini Cakes @ thekitchenmccabe.com

Easy 10 Minute Tiramisu (No-Bake Dessert)

Image
I’ve made this recipe twice (love my job!😀 ) – do not make the mistake of soaking ladyfingers too long in the coffee because they will get mushy and fall apart. If you enjoy drinking your coffee a little sweetened, then consider sweetening the coffee. If you are serving a crowd, you can easily double this recipe and place in a larger 9×13 baking dish. If you’re a fan of Tiramisu (a sinfully delicious coffee-flavored dessert!), try making this simple version that you can whip up in under 10 minutes at home! This no-bake dessert turns out creamy and decadent and is perfect for holiday parties and gatherings. Ingredients: 1 cup heavy whipping cream 1 cup mascarpone cheese, room temperature (see substitute idea below) 3 tablespoons sugar 1 tsp Vanilla extract 1 tablespoon Amaretto liquor or Brandy (optional but yummy!) 1 and 1/2 cups espresso or STRONG coffee at room temperature – sweetened if desired 1 package Lady Fingers (such as the Savoiardi brand; found in cooki...
